Who joined Usher during Super Bowl halftime show?
Usher started his performance with the popular song 'Caught Up,' wearing all-white and incorporating acrobats and Las Vegas-style showmanship to impress the audience.
Alicia Keys performed her songs 'Superstar' and 'Love in This Club' before being joined on stage by the leading man. She then sang her single 'If I Ain't Got You' while playing a custom piano, and they performed their iconic hit 'My Boo' together.
The duo recreated their chemistry from 2004 when the singer featured in a popular song. Keys wore a red outfit by Dolce & Gabbana during her short appearance on the stage. They sang the chorus together while walking the runway, with the audience joining in.
Jermaine Dupri made a surprise appearance and introduced Usher, who performed 'Confessions' and 'Burn.' H.E.R. also joined in and played a guitar solo to Usher's song 'Bad Girl,' and will.i.am joined them on stage to perform 'OMG,' exciting the crowd.
Usher had a nostalgic moment as he was joined by Lil John, Ludacris, and Jermaine Dupri to close his 15-minute show with their hit song 'Yeah!' The group, known for their collaborations, wore matching blue outfits and paid tribute to their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
How much do Super Bowl halftime performers get paid?
Despite the immense excitement and buzz that surrounds the Super Bowl, it is worth noting that entertainers do not receive their usual compensation for their performances at this prestigious event.
In fact, according to USA Today, these artists are only remunerated based on the union scale.
That amount is significantly lower than the substantial six- and seven-figure incomes they typically command, as per Forbes.
It has been reported that, the league “covers all costs associated with the show and does pay the halftime performers’ union scale".
