Super Bowl LVII: Who is Troy Kostur's wife? Oscar-winning star of 'CODA' is an ASL performer at big game
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Troy Kotsur, who went from being a struggling actor to winning an Oscar, is getting ready to sing the National Anthem via sign language at the Super Bowl LVII in Glendale. Kotsur's career has undergone significant transformation since he won an Academy Award for his part in CODA, Child of a Deaf Adult.
The Arizona native, who made history by becoming the first deaf person to win an Oscar, has worked with 'Seinfeld' creator Larry David, appeared on 'Sesame Street,' met President Joe Biden, and even got to meet his hero, Steven Spielberg. He will soon be seen in a show on Disney+ in which he will play a football coach at a deaf school. He had previously received a call from the National Association of the Deaf asking him to sign the National Anthem at the Super Bowl LVII with Chris Stapleton, according to ABC15. "I said, 'yes! I'm in. It doesn't matter if the (Cardinals) aren't in the Super Bowl or not... this is my hometown, I'm in,'" Kotsur stated.

The Westwood High School alum claims that 2,000 people are the biggest live audience he has ever performed for. The previous year, just over 100 million people watched the Super Bowl. By performing at the Super Bowl LVII, Kotsur will have one more chance to demonstrate that neither he nor anyone else like him is limited in what they can accomplish.
Kotsur stated, "I think I need to stretch out my signs and make them bigger and it's nice to have a screen so everyone can see my signs and hear the music. I'm looking forward to it."
