Jennifer Lopez and Shakira set the stage on fire with their power-packed performance during the half-time show. The singers let their heritage shine through as their performance consisted of some of their most famous songs. However, one thing that people could not unsee was the gab that the two singers took during their performance.

Fans were quick to notice the small references that were made throughout the song. However, one thing in particular that caught their eye was the children who were locked inside a cage while the song, "Born in the US", was sung in the background. Many thought that it was a direct attack at President Donald Trump's decision of putting migrant children into detention camps.

"Props to Jlo, Shakira and/or the choreographer for the necessary statement with Latino children in cages singing" Born in the USA," one user wrote. Another added, "JLo understands what Trump is doing to the Hispanics people and what he did to Puerto Rico."

Others thought that their performance screamed a call for help and how everyone should wake up after watching the performance. "A global massage for all those Latino kids in a cage, those kids belongs in heart, not behind iron bars, wake up Congress Thanks #JLo & #Shakira," read the comment.

Another jab that Jennifer took at the Trump administration was waving the  Puerto Rican flag while singing the same song. Puerto Rican natives became emotional upon seeing this and were happy to see Jennifer standing up for the community. Many were pleased to see that someone took the initiative to remind Trump that the Caribbean island is part of the US and the people should be treated like every other US citizen.

"JLo out here reminding Trump that Puerto Rico is very much a part of America," one tweet read. Another tweeted, "Love that #JLo ‘s US flag opened to become the #PuertoRico flag! It’s about time some people were exposed to, well ... a super sexy 50 yo mother, Spanish, ululating, belly dancing, pole dancing, salsa and Latina women who kick a$$. It was amazing!"
