LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' host Sunny Hostin has taken a shot at how Kim Kardashian parents her four children. The 54-year-old lawyer criticized those influencers who "use" children as part of their "brand" on social media. Although she did not mention Kim by name, it didn't take viewers long to understand that Sunny was addressing the mother of four.

'The View' star said on Tuesday, April 18, that the children of influencers are suing their parents for exposing them to social media. "I don’t understand these parents that use their children to make money on social media," she said, according to The Sun. "We know who they are we don’t have to name-check but you do see it on social media all the time. They're doing stuff with their kids and they're telling you how to raise yours and all of this, so their children become their brand."

'They make money off of their children'

Sunny continued, "They make money off of their children." She then went on, "I just think that's such a violation of a child. As you notice, I don't put up a lot of pictures of Paloma [her daughter], because she doesn't like it. And she has agency to say no. And she's always kind of said no about it. Gabriel [her son], on the other hand, doesn't care. I don't want to make my kids my brand."

'Putting a target on their back'

"We talk here about so many things, we talk here about school shootings and pedophilia", noted her co-host Ana Navarro. "It feels like there's so many dangerous things out there and if you're putting these pictures of these little kids, they're going to be easily recognizable. You're putting a target on their back. You're making them that much more vulnerable to bad things happening." Sunny added, "They should be old enough to give their consent to it."

One user tweeted in response, "Aunty Sunny is sending subtly sending shade to Kim Kardashian." Another posted, "Darn! I missed the subtle shade from @sunny. You know I live for it! Darn!"

Kim's photoshop fiascos

Kim has faced plenty of heat in the past for putting her children North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 3 on Instagram and TikTok. She has also come under the scanner for seemingly editing their faces on Instagram. Just last week, she was slammed for her "unforgivable" treatment of North when fans spotted that she appeared to have photoshopped the preteen's chin. The reality star posted snaps of the nine-year-old wearing a Dolce & Gabbana diamond choker and T-shirt on Instagram.
