LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a shocking revelation, Jena Malone revealed that she was sexually assaulted during the making of ‘The Hunger Games’ movie. In an emotional Instagram post, the actress shared a throwback photograph from 2015 and captioned about the event. "A swirling mix of emotions im only now just learning to sort thru. I wish it wasn't tied to such a traumatic event for me but that is the real wildness of life I guess. How to hold the chaos with the beauty," she wrote.

The 38-year-old photo was taken in the French countryside, after wrapping 2015’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. Malone in her long post added, "I've worked very hard to heal and learn thru restorative justice, how to make peace with the person who violated me and makes peace with myself," as per People. The ‘Antebellum’ star concluded the post by saying, "I want to say I'm here for anyone who needs to talk or vent or open uncommunicated spaces within themselves. Please dm me if you need a safe space to be heard."

'The process is so slow'

Willow Shields, one of her co-actors from the film who played the role of Primrose Everdeen in the 'Hunger Games', commented on her Instagram post, he said, "This post has me at a loss of words. I understand and I hope that though the process is so slow you are okay Jena."

'Thank you for sharing your experience'

Jena Malone fans also came in her support, one wrote, “The quote 'I was in a fight that was not a fair fight. I didn’t win. There is no shame in losing such fights' has helped me, a lot. It’s an experience that can feel like the loneliest, while you’re simultaneously not ever alone. I’m so sorry you had to go through this too.” Another commented, “Good for you. If this is the way you choose to heal, so be it. Contrary to what so many may think, you don't have to answer to anyone, ever. Your life is yours to live, and ours to observe, but not ours to command.” One Instagram user appreciated her offering to listen to others’ traumatic experiences, “Thank you for sharing your experience and being willing to help others! I really admire the strength and kindness!” One fan wrote, “I admire the strength you have! It's not easy to say something like this, you'll never stop shining and the person who made you go through that pain will live in the darkness forever.” “Good on you that you didn't let this destroy or contain you. Keep working on the healing and know you are adored and respected. Small moves, Jena,” commented another.
