'Station 19' has a way of giving fans a set of shocks and surprises. This week, one character finally came out of the closet. Yes, Emmett Dixon (Lachlan Buchanan), the Fire Chief's son, finally confessed he is gay.

Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) even welcomed him to the LGBTQ+ club and fans can't stop wondering if he will also be able to convince his father, Fire Chief Albert Dixon (Pat Healy) and open up about it to his girlfriend, Alicia.

The actor who plays Emmett went on to post on Twitter, "You did it, Emmett!! So proud to play this character. He may be flawed but he’s on his own journey like we all are, and it takes time. Celebrate the little victories, stay strong, step by step @station19 #tremmett #lgbtq."

Another fan wrote, "Very proud Emmett came out to the team first that was definitely the first step to get out of his cage. The next steps are the harder parts but I'm excited and hopeful to see Emmett overcomes these challenges and eventually come out to his Father and Alicia. #station19 #Tremmett."

Many viewers are freaking out about how Emmett said "I love you" to Travis. "Okay but is anyone gonna talk about the fact that Emmett said I love you to Travis ?!!??" one posted and another said, "We best be getting some Emmett and Travis scenes lol." Another tweet read, "Look at Emmett look at HIM... he's so smiley because Travis acknowledged him coming out to the team."

One went on to say that Emmett is not just a prop for Travis. "Emmett is his own person not just a prop for Travis storyline, Emmett is me, and other people in the closet who need this #Station19 is doing a good job with this and is showing more sides to their queer characters and that’s f***ing fantastic! Keep up the good work."

"I’m so proud of Emmett and damn this episode was great! #Station19 keeps getting better every week!" one fan wrote and another posted, "Yeah, Emmett, you should probably tell homegirl before you marry her.... #Station19."

As more episodes of 'Station 19' are released in the upcoming weeks, only time will tell if Emmett and Travis will end up together and will Emmett's father accept his son's sexuality or create havoc in his son's life?
