Meghan and Harry's relationship with royal family will never mend as they made 'hurtful' private matters public
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not be able to return to royal duties and their relationship with the royal family will never be mended, sources have claimed. The Sussexes shocked everyone in January after announcing their plan to step down from senior royal duties. Megxit happened in March and the couple is currently living in Los Angles with their one-year-old son Archie in Tyler Perry's $18 million mansion.
It has been said earlier that Harry and Meghan were on a “trial period” in the US, and in the future the Queen would have reportedly help them create a new position in the Firm. However, now these speculated plans seem to have been ruined after some explosive details emerged from an upcoming book ‘Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Family’. While the 35-year-old and his wife refused to be interviewed for the book, they apparently allowed the ones close to them to talk to the authors.
A source close to the royal household told The Daily Mail: “The door will always be open to them as much-loved members of the family. But it's hard to see how they can now salvage the new role they wanted as "hybrid" royals, running commercial careers alongside royal duties from the US.” Another added: “The review period has not yet been discussed but it doesn't seem if there is any way of going back now. Some very private family matters have now been aired in public, seemingly with their blessing. That will be hurtful.”
Besides, according to the bombshell book written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, another important topic that may cause some amount of discomfort in the royal family is Meghan and Kate Middleton’s relationship. The book says, “Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t bonded over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it. According to a source, Kate felt they didn’t have much in common ‘other than the fact that they lived at Kensington Palace’.”
However, friends and close ones of Kate and Prince William have reportedly said that they had “done all they possibly could” to welcome Meghan into the family. They stated that the Cambridges “rolled out the red carpet” and “welcomed Meghan with open arms”.
Meanwhile, another report has claimed that a courtier has been quoted in the book saying that Meghan was not a trustworthy person. The book also stated that as soon as the 38-year-old was introduced in the royal family, tensions emerged. “She comes with a lot of baggage,” a courtier said of Meghan in the book. While another added: “There's just something about her I don't trust.” A third source has deemed Meghan as “Harry's showgirl”.
In addition, the book has reportedly claimed that the mother-of-one believed she was facing much of the criticism in the royal family because of her color. One friend of the Duchess of Sussex even said that palace officials described her as “Duchess Different”. The unidentified friend said, “That's what people have a problem with. She's the easiest person in the world to work with. Certain people just don't like the fact she stands out.”
