'Sorry for Your Loss' Season 2 Episode 6 preview: Jules has to draw the line with Leigh at fitness studio

With Leigh missing classes and her barely-there presence at the studio, Jules has been running it on her own. She finally asks Jules if she still 'cares about her job.'

Oh, the awkwardness of trying to run a business with family members! With Amy Shaw (Janet McTeer) off in Alaska, Jules Shaw (Kelly Marie Tran) has been running the studio practically on her own. Leigh has been mostly AWOL what with her meltdown and partial recovery last week after the walk with Danny (Jovan Adepo). But while she goes through her grieving process, life still goes on. Bills have to be paid, beds have to be made and fitness studios have to attract clients to keep the business afloat.

Only, with Jules barely mobile, and Leigh going through the motions in her own classes at the studio, attendance has dropped 40 percent. This week, Jules finally confronts Leigh about her behaviour as gently as possible and asks her if she still "cares about her job" at the fitness studio. When Leigh says, she has a "lot going on", Jules replies saying, "so does the studio" before telling her she can't keep doing it on her own.

Undoubtedly, Leigh's head has not been in the game. But her situation does bring up a valid issue about those who are dealing with loss or depression. How do you still show up at work and put in a 100 percent when your mind is your worst enemy, tripping you up with sad memories and the ensuing depression. Jules, who is also battling addiction and physical injuries, is also right about not being able "to do it on her own." This makes it a hard choice for her - though she understands what Leigh has been going through, she also understands the practicalities of their situation. The Shaw family depends on the studio to pay the bills and cannot be held hostage to Leigh's moods anymore.

This week, besides the tussle on the business end of things, both Jules and Leigh will make some progress in their personal lives. Leigh will go on a date, the first real date since Matt died, while Jules will go on an adventure of her own when she shows up at the wrong location for her AA meeting.
