Rapper XXXTentacion was shot dead on Monday (June 18) in Miami while he was out buying a new motorcycle. As reported by TMZ, according to a police dispatch, the suspects were described as two black males wearing hoodies — the shooter was reportedly wearing a red mask. After the news about the death of the rapper came to light, people were convinced that Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo were involved in the murder.

They became the center of attention after the two started sharing various pictures after the rapper's death was announced. One photo that got the attention of eagle-eyed fans showed the two rappers with the same mask as described by the police. As reported by Heavy, a Boomerang photo that was posted on Soldier Kidd’s Instagram live showed that he had picked up food from a nearby eatery in Deerfield Beach which is not far away from the location where XXXTentacion was shot dead.

Soldier Kidd tagged Hook Fish and Chicken in his post. At the same time, the image also showed him having a gun. Meanwhile, Soldier Jojo also posted a picture with a seemingly identical red mask. The picture that was posted on June 2 shows Jojo crouched next to a car, with the red mask atop his head. The image also has the letters “XXX” in red type. Fans were quick to jump to conclusion that the two might have had something to do with the death of the rapper.

However, XXX is also the name of their album so it quite possible that the photo was just a promotion of their album. At the same time, there are no connections drawn between the rappers as of now. When the accusations grew out of hand Soldier Kidd started an Instagram live and denied having any connections with the death of the rapper and stated that he had been at his house the whole day.

"I was at my house all day, popping Xanax and s**t like that,” he can be seen saying in the Instagram video. Meanwhile, he posted another video on Instagram in which he insisted that he did not know the rapper but has love for him following his death. He added that all his condolences go towards the rapper's family but he had nothing to do with it. At the same time, he added that he is going to stay positive even though he has been accused of being involved with the rapper's murder.

Following the news about the rapper's death, several people from the industry commented on this heartbreaking news. Kanye West tweeted, "Rest in peace I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing." While rapper J.Cole wrote, "This got me f**ked up. RIP X. Enormous talent and limitless potential and a strong desire to be a better person. God bless his family, friend, and fans."
