GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Rihanna's comeback to performing live after a long gap was a big deal for her fans but it seems not everyone was thrilled about her Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It has reportedly come to light that 103 complaints have been lodged with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against the singer's February 12 gig.

Most of the complaints the FCC received were about the pop star’s concert at the championship game’s halftime, per TMZ. The complainants have accused Rihanna of being too risque. They alleged that the lyrics and choreography were not suitable for non-adults and should not be broadcast on TV.

Rihanna compared to Kim Petras and Sam Smith

Many people claimed that the Barbados beauty's performance was similar to Kim Petras and Sam Smith's at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The duo’s show was slammed as anti-Christian, demonic and full of adult content. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted, “The Grammy’s featured Sam Smith’s demonic performance and was sponsored by Pfizer. And the Satanic Church now has an abortion clinic in NM that requires its patients to perform a satanic ritual before services. American Christians need to get to work.”

Speaking about About Rihanna’s performance, a viewer reportedly said, “I don't care what someone worships but children shouldn't be exposed to pornography and as an adult I don't wish to see it ... Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self?” Another user said, “This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content.”

‘Completely inappropriate for children'

Since she is expecting another baby, background dancers did most of the work. People did not spare them either as they slammed their moves for being “patently offensive and completely inappropriate for children." However, there were a few who also found fault in Rihanna’s moves with one complaining, “She spread her a** cheek at the crack. She rubbed her pants where her labia were three times.”

The recent development has attracted a lot of attention online with a user saying, “I wouldn’t say 103 complaints is flooding lol especially given the fact the viewership during halftime was 118 million?” Another one wrote, “America is hilarious, we don't get mad when there is a shootout every day but when a artist gets a bit sexual , all hell breaks loose. While countries like spain or France show nudity on tv like a normal thing.”
