SiriusXM host Nicole Ryan hospitalized with 'broken bones' after car crashes into her scooter

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Ryan, host of SiriusXM's The Morning Mashup, was reportedly "seriously injured" after being struck by a car while riding a scooter "earlier this week." A now-deleted post on the talk show's Instagram page revealed, "We've rewritten this a hundred times but there’s no easy way to say it. Nicole was seriously injured earlier in the week after being hit by a car while on her scooter."

The 40-year-old mother of two is currently recuperating " the hospital nursing broken bones and a bruised ego and will need time to heal before she returns to the Morning Mash Up," the post continues. It adds, "In the meantime," co-hosts Stanley T and Ryan Sampson "will be back live on Monday to hold down the fort until Nicole can come back."

According to Entertainment Tonight, the post also encouraged fans to send their good wishes to the radio personality. "Make sure to reach out to Nicole on her social media, we know she’d love to hear from everybody as she recovers. Love from the Hits 1 family." Another follow-up message on the page's Instagram Stories stated, "In case you missed our update, Nicole was injured earlier in the week and will need time to heal before returning to the Mash Up." However, further details, including the exact location of the accident, are yet to be revealed.  



 

Expected to make a full recovery

People reported how Nicole's talent manager Aimee Berger also shared a message on the host's personal Instagram earlier on Friday, February 3, to give an update to fans. "All messages are being relayed to her and while I may not be answering all of you directly please know...we love you," Aimee wrote, adding that her team is "uber focused on getting her back to the Nicole Ryan-'Hey Girlie Hey'-you all love and laugh with in your days." The manager assured followers that Nicole was expected to "make a full recovery!! Let this be another reminder of how precious our lives are and those around us and how important it is to take care of the real ones who are [there] front and center through thick and thin."

Who is Nicole Ryan?

A native of Syracuse, New York, Nicole first attended university to study psychology before following her true calling in the entertainment industry. The popular radio host "has continually served up celebrity interviews both fascinating and undeniably fun - a listening experience not unlike tuning into a private confab among close friends," according to her website. It's worth noting that Nicole has interviewed a number of stars on The Morning Mashup for SiriusXM Hits 1, including Katy Perry, Charlie Puth, Noah Centineo, Taylor Swift and Marshmello. "Ryan's extraordinary skills as an interviewer reflect the underlying philosophy behind her on-air work: the more relaxed and carefree the conversation, the more easily she's able to truly connect with her subject," the website continues.



 

Nicole launched her own digital series, 'On-Air Mom,' in 2018 after building a large audience and a reputation in the radio industry. The show offers "an up-close glimpse into the chronically hectic life she shares with her husband and two young children, revealing all the chaos that comes with being a working mother in the nonstop action of New York City," as she describes in her bio. The acclaimed host is married to Matt Ryan and has two children together, Keegan and Parker



 

Aside from her radio success, Nicole has also made guest appearances on popular TV shows such as 'Good Morning America' and 'The Wendy Williams Show.'
