'B****, this ain't India!' Indian man charged with hate crime for racist rant and using N-word against ANOTHER Indian man
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA: A day after getting charged with hate crime in violation of civil rights, assault, and disturbing the peace by offensive language, a California man was arrested for his racist rant against a Hindu man while also throwing the N-word repeatedly. The California man was identified as Singh Tejinder. The 37-year-old got into trouble after he went on a rant for more than eight minutes against Krishnan Jayaraman on August 21, 2022.
The Indian man filmed the video and later shared that Tejinder was hell-bent on picking a fight despite him being calm. Passing several derogatory comments at one of the outlets of Taco Bell in the video, Tejinder said, “The f**k your bean burrito looking at? Disgusting, bro. Maybe wear some socks. Nobody wants to see your ugly a** feet. Disgusting. You people are f*****g ugly,” as reported by The Daily Beast. Singh Tejinder of Union City, who in charging documents gives his ethnicity as "Asian/Indian", was filmed saying, "B****, this ain't India! You f***ed India up, and now you're f***ing America up."

Krishnan Jayaraman was waiting to pick up his order when Tejinder took a dig at him over him being vegetarian. The latter also spewed anti-Hindu speech directed at him. “You look nasty. Don’t come out in public like this again. Sincerely, no one comes in public like this, dirty Hindu,” said Tejinder.
According to the Daily Mail, Jayaraman told ABC 7 that he dialed the cops, waiting inside to avoid leaving and causing a confrontation. He said, “I was scared, to be honest with you. I was infuriated on the one hand, but I was scared that what if this guy becomes too belligerent and then comes after me?”
In a statement to The Daily Beast, Taco Bell Corp stated, “The actions of the individual seen in the video are troubling, upsetting and not consistent with the brand’s inclusive values to respect and welcome customers of all backgrounds,” adding, “The franchisee who owns and operates this location confirmed team members contacted local authorities to help de-escalate the customers’ interaction and is continuing to look into the situation.”
The Fremont Police Department too shared a statement on Facebook earlier saying, “We take hate incidents and hate crimes seriously, and understand the significant impact they have on our community.” Police Chief Sean Washington said, “These incidents are despicable. We are here to protect all community members, regardless of their gender, race, nationality, religion, and other differences. Fremont is one of the nation's most diverse communities, and we are thankful for the contributions of community members from different cultures and backgrounds."
