Season 3 of 'Siesta Key' saw the already-strained relationships of the cast being challenged further with the introduction of newcomers. The stirring season came to an end earlier on August 25 in 2020. It had barely been three months since then and the show was renewed for Season 4.

Between last year and this, there have been several changes on the MTV-backed show. From fractured relationships to new businesses, their lives have transformed during the time the show has been on a break. Here's all you need to know about it.

Release date

'Siesta Key' Season 4 will premiere on May 12 at 8/7c. For more information, check your local listings.

Plot

'Siesta Key' follows a group of friends as they go about their lives in Sarasota, Florida. This is no ordinary group. They are young, very attractive, and massive wealthy young adults dealing with a plethora of emotions, navigating romantic dalliances as well as interpersonal relationships with each other. Love, hate, betrayal, and heartbreak - the show has it all to pique the interest of young viewers who tune in to the show in droves and then discuss their opinion about the cast over social media platforms. The show's cast might pride themselves on being catty but fans of the show aren't trailing behind either. A quick Twitter search with the show's name after each episode premieres should suffice to prove this claim.

The new slate of episodes will focus on Juliette Porter's love life with billionaire boyfriend Sam Logan as she puts in her best efforts to launch a new swimwear line. Giving her competition will be ex-BFF Kelsey Owens, who too intends on starting her own apparel line. Brandon Gomes, on the other hand, will focus on being a father. Will Garrett Miller return? He has no reason to unless there's a new girl on the horizon. Kelsey and Garrett's relationship came to a bitter end, following which they went their separate ways. Meanwhile, Chloe Trautman is a changed woman, literally and figuratively. She is a few pounds lighter and has her energy focused on being better than who she was last season. Madisson Hausberg's wedding with Ish Soto will form an integral part of Season 4.

The cast and crew of the show will be flying away to an international private resort that will serve as a quarantine bubble for everyone involved, for a few weeks. The rest of the season will continue filming in Sarasota, FL.

"Entertainment One Reality Productions, Inc is adhering to local, state, and federal Covid-19 health and safety requirements. The production company has made extraordinary measures to ensure the safety of all cast, crew, and staff members," MTV's press release stated.

Cast

MTV

Juliette Potter, Madisson Hausburg, Kelsey Owens, Chloe Trautman, Brandon Gomes and Amanda Miller are set to return to the series. Alex Kompothecras will not be returning. He was fired over racist social media posts. Since MTV cut ties with the reality TV star, his scenes were edited out and dialogues muted. Miller and Garrett Geswelli will make a comeback but it remains to be seen in what capacity.

Creators

The show is produced by Tara Long for Entertainment One Reality Productions. Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez of Creature Films executive produce as well. So do Tom Danon, Elizabeth Jones, Gary Kompothecras, and Warren Skeels. Daniel Blau Rogge and Jennifer executive produce the show for MTV.

Trailer

The trailer has been received well by the show's fans. While some called it their "guilty pleasure," others were simply happy that the reality docuseries is making a comeback.
