Australian pop singer Sia revealed during her conversation with SirusXM on Tuesday (May 19) that she has adopted her two sons, both 19 years, from the foster care system on deciding to be their legal guardian. Expressing her excitement over her new family, she said, “I actually adopted two sons last year. They were 18, they're both 19-years-old now. They were aging out of the foster care system and yeah, I love them.”
“They are both finding [quarantine] pretty difficult, one more so than the other. But they're both doing things that are really good for them, a lot of educational stuff,” she further added.
However, the ‘Chandelier’ singer refrained from revealing their respective monikers. Well, this shouldn’t come as a surprise knowing how discreet she has been about her own life and identity. She may not have been vocal about the other aspects of life, but the singer didn’t hesitate from telling one of her co-artistes that she wouldn’t mind hooking up with them. Commenting on her relationship with Diplo, she joked, “Much of our relationship is just being spent trying not to have sex so that we wouldn’t ruin our business relationship because he’s super-duper hot.” The two musicians have worked together for more than a decade. Their most recent collaboration was for 2018 album 'LSD', which also featured the British artiste Labrinth. Meanwhile, Sia, who is content with being single, reportedly basks in a net worth of $25 million. She’s created some of the biggest hits of the music industry, which have sold millions of copies worldwide. She has also served as the songwriter for renowned artists including Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Florida.
She married documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang in 2014 at her home in Palm Springs, California, and filed for divorce in 2016, owing to “irreconcilable differences”. They issued a joint statement confirming their split which read, After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends.”
