Sia slams ‘pathological liar’ Shia LaBeouf for conning her into adultery, fans thank her for ‘warning others’
A day after actress and musician FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, sued her former actor boyfriend, Shia LeBeouf, for physically, emotionally and mentally abusing her on various occasions, it is now well-known Australian crooner Sia who has called out the ‘Transformers’ actor on social media.
The 44-year-old singer-songwriter took to her Twitter account and labeled Shia as a pathological liar adding that he conned her into an adulterous relationship. “I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single. I believe he's very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims. Just know, if you love yourself- stay safe, stay away.” In another tweet, she extended her support to FKA Twigs and praised her for her courage.
“Also I love you. @FKAtwigs This is very courageous and I'm very proud of you.” For those who are not aware, Sia and Shia both worked together for the music video of the former’s hit single ‘Elastic Heart’ in 2015 alongside dancer Maddie Ziegler. The song was one of the biggest hits of the year.

A lot of shocked social media users were then quick to react to Sia’s allegations. One user asked, “OMG. It was after or before you recorded Elastic Heart?” Another stated, “Oh I'm so sorry you got pulled into this trap! I hope he gets the help he needs! Thank you for warning others.” One user added, “I'm sorry you were also hurt by him. No one deserves to be treated by someone the way you and FKA Twigs have said he's treated you. I also hope he's not sick enough to realize he needs help.” One shocked user shared, “OMG tf!? thank u for sharing this. I believe you, your story matters.” Another user asserted, “It's not your fault. Your name is almost his name. That means something.”

Talking about FKA Twigs’ lawsuit, she spoke to New York Times, and said, “I’d like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency.” Her lawsuit accuses him of “relentless abuse”, including sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.
LaBeouf responded to the New York Times about the allegation in multiple mails and stated, as reported by NPR, “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
