In the footage Post then seems to approach his neighbor, who pulls out a revolver and fires. The victim then staggered as his wife rushed to get help with the child, the gunman then walked away. Shane's wife, Irina, told Action News 4 that her husband was dropped off in a truck parked in the neighbor's place by his coworker Rudy. She stated, "I saw them pull in, and I went, and I took the baby because she’s only three months old, and Rudy has never met her. He came out in a robe, and he had already his gun loaded in his pocket. He still had his gun pointed at him, and Shane was screaming, ‘stop, stop.'"
“I thought that initially, that it was fake, [like] it was not a real bullet, because there was no blood or anything,” Irina said. The footage also shows the f\urious neighbor retreat saying 'get out of my spot now'.
Shane was taken to Baylor of Waxahachie until he was stabilized, then airlifted to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
Shane, the NPC 2017 Mr. Pittsburgh, told a local news outlet that the bullet is still in him. He said: "He had all intentions of coming out there, pulling his gun, and killing me."
Cops issued a statement saying, "The Waxahachie Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Kaufman Street, on Tuesday, April 19 at approximately 3:15 pm upon arrival, officers found one victim that had been shot one time in the torso area. The suspect, identified as Nikki Brown of Waxahachie, was still at the location and taken into custody. Initial investigation indicates the shooting was the result of a confrontation about a parking space."
"Both the suspect and the victim live at the townhomes, and they have assigned parking spaces," said Lt. Chris Dickinson of the Waxahachie Police Department told The US Sun. "The victim parked in the other guy’s spot, and apparently there had been confrontations in the past. The victim pulled into the suspect’s parking spot to unload some things, and that’s when Brown confronted him.”
A GoFund Me page was started for Shane's recovery. Shane suffered wounds to his liver, colon, pancreas and urethra. At the time of writing this article, the campaign which has a $70,000 goal has raised $20,773. According to Jason, Shane's friend who started the fund campaign for Irina and the bodybuilder, "Shane has a long road ahead of him. If you know Shane, you know he has a huge heart and he would be the first to give you the shirt off his back. We are starting this page to help them with the financial burden this tragedy has caused."
