Where is Melissa Trumpy? Wisconsin woman VANISHED after agreeing to testify against BF
MONTICELLO, WISCONSIN: Melissa Trumpy, a 37-year-old mother-of-three, vanished in late October 2021. Her disappearance occurred soon after she and her partner at the time, 35-year-old Derek Hammer, were jailed for drug-related offences at Trumpy's house in Monticello, Wisconsin, near the Illinois border.
According to court records, both Trumpy and Hammer were charged with a felony offence of maintaining a drug trafficking location in October. As a witness to a crime, she also faces a felony charge of possessing THC with the purpose to manufacture, distribute, or deliver it, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. Trumpy appeared in court on October 18, 2021 and was released on a signature bail, according to court records. Hammer was freed after paying a $10,000 bail.

According to WKOW-TV, Trumpy apparently volunteered to assist police and testify against Hammer. Trumpy's friend, Daniel Kaiser, told the newspaper that Trumpy had expressed fear of Hammer days before she vanished. Kaiser told the newspaper, "She was terrified to go back to her house."
Hammer has been arrested for bail jumping since Trumpy went missing. Trumpy's family members have expressed anxiety for their safety if Hammer is released. "If he gets out," Benny Affrunti, the father of two of Trumpy's children, told the Journal-Standard, "we will be looking over our shoulders nonstop."
According to prison documents obtained by the Journal-Standard, Hammer served time in Nevada for battery by strangulation and possession of an explosive device. Hammer has not been listed as a suspect in Trumpy's disappearance by authorities.
Trumpy's sister, Mandy M'Boge, told WTVO-TV that Trumpy's children miss their mother. "All I hear is, 'Aunt Mandy, I miss mommy, I want mommy to come home.'" M'Boge said to WTVO-TV, "How do you sit there and listen to that and their hopes, you know??"
Tragically, Affrunti informed the publication that Trumpy's death seemed to be a certain conclusion. "Melissa is gone permanently, and my kids will never have their mother back," Affrunti said to the Journal-Standard.
