Lee Min-woo, popularly known as Minwoo or M, of Korean boy band Shinhwa is reportedly under suspicion for alleged sexual harassment of two women. The incident is said to have taken place at a club in Gangnam where the K-pop idol forcefully kissed two women seated at the next table.

According to a report in Soompi, news outlet Dong-A Ilbo broke the story with a quote from a source at the Gangnam police station. According to the source, Minwoo was booked on July 2 and is being investigated.

The source also said he is under suspicion of committing indecent assault on two women in their 20s and he was previously acquainted with them. They were sitting at the next table at a bar in the district of Gangnam. It was reported that the incident allegedly occurred when the singer was drinking with his colleagues, who also happen to be celebrities on the morning of June 29.

One of the two women filed a complaint against Minwoo right after they finished drinking at the club. She went to a local police station at 6:44 a.m. KST (5.44 p.m. ET) and reported that she had been sexually harassed. She said, "I went to a drinking party and was severely sexually harassed," and added, "Lee grabbed on to both my cheeks and kissed me by force. He also touched certain parts of my body."

Minwoo is yet to be questioned by the police and further updates about the investigation are awaited. In the meanwhile, fans of K-pop and K-drama took to social network sites (SNS) and using the '#kpopgoingtojailparty,' posted gifs, tweets, memes and more and in no time it was trending.

Some mocked the fans of recent K-pop idols arrested on various charges including distributing illicit videos, prostitution and drugs. They found it outlandish that some fans stated they were willing to accompany their favorite idols into prison.
