Did Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green split? Insider source says 'Southern Charm' star will 'regret this'
It looks like Shep Rose, 42 and Taylor Ann Green, 27 have finally decided to call it quits. The 'Southern Charm' couple had been facing issues in their relationship for a while now, with Rose admitting to have not been faithful during the Season 7 reunion of the show. Back then, he told Andy Cohen that "there was some text messages" between him and "an old flame." He even admitted that he "kissed a girl in a stairwell, but that's all it was."
In addition to this, the couple was also on completely different pages regarding their future, as revealed in Episode 4 of the ongoing Season 8 of 'Southern Charm'. But, this was not the reason for their breakup -- they split on account of Rose's inability to stay in a monogamous relationship. The couple met in 2020 and had been together for two years.

As per insider sources, the reason for the couple's split was Rose's commitment issues. "Shep has a real issue with monogamy and refused to commit to Taylor, telling her that he doesn't want to be with just one person and change his lifestyle," said a source. "She's incredibly hurt, but she knows that she deserves a guy who will fight for her, not one who is so selfish," added another. "He'll regret this." reported PEOPLE.
This isn't the first time Rose has taken an issue with a relationship changing his lifestyle. In Episode 4 of Season 8, Shep sat down to John Pringle and explained that he was not ready for kids after he and Green had a pregnancy scare. He expressed the same emotions to Green as well. "You're gonna high five to my pain and misery?" Green asked Rose as they discussed the issue later. "You didn't even ask how I felt. You just thought, like, 'Oh, no, there was a scare. What am I gonna do?' Like, you haven't ever really said, 'If you things were to ever happen, you can trust in me.'"
"If I was pregnant, I would want the rightful steps to be taken, which would be marriage," Green added in her confessionals, after telling Rose she did not see him as a "safe bet". "But I don't know how much he would step up to the bat, which is really s---ty." Rose for that matter, did little to comfort Green. "The minute you tell me I need to do something a certain way, I will do the exact opposite ... but I want you," he said.

As reported by Page Six, 'Southern Charm' stars Madison LeCroy and Venita Aspen note that they didn't see the couple lasting very long. “Taylor loves Shep more than Shep loves Taylor,” Aspen explained, while LeCroy added that Green got “rule No. 1 wrong.” “Always get a man that loves you more,” she added.
