The upcoming 'She-Hulk' series is a topic of hot discussion and the question of who shall play the titular character is doing the rounds. Recently, Twitter influencer Daniel Richtman on his social media pages, claimed that Marvel is looking for an 'Alison Brie type' to play the role.

Fans can't seem to fathom the meaning of this and have taken to social media to express their confusion. Why not cast Alison Brie, then, they ask. This piece of news has been trolled heavily by Marvel fans.

A fan tweeted, "How about just Alison Brie then?" Another fan asked, "I might be wrong, but I think @alisonbrie would be a good "Alison Brie-type" actress to cast."

"Or, you can just hire Alison Brie. Plain and simple," a fan wrote. Some fans were scathing and sarcastic and couldn't help poking fun at the scoop.

"Have they thought about maybe contacting, I don't know, Alison Brie?" one fan tweeted.

"You know who is a lot like Alison Brie? Alison Brie," another fan wrote.

Fans referred to her popular series 'Glow', which focuses on female wrestling. "Have you seen Glow? How about Alison Brie? Alison Brie is the most Alison Brie-iest Alison Brie there is," a fan tweeted.

"Alison Brie is the perfect Alison Brie type," another wrote. Another fan tweeted, "Marvel, don't be cowards. Just cast Alison Brie."

"The rumor appears to be more than a rumor, as legit casting reports are repeating that “an Alison Brie type” for She-Hulk, which gives an indication of what they are looking for in terms of the character," a fan pondered.

Many actresses are being considered for the role of She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters. Emmy-winner writer Jessica Gao (Rick & Morty) is the head writer for the show. 'She-Hulk' is expected to drop in the summer or fall of 2021. Meanwhile, Disney+ has other exciting shows lined up, including 'The Falcon And The Winter Soldier' and 'WandaVision'.
