Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello filmed a super-sloppy makeout session and posted it on Instagram to get back at those who criticized the way they kiss.

“So we saw on like Twitter and stuff, you guys saying stuff about the way we’re kissing and how it looks weird, like we kiss like fish,” Shawn, 21, said in the video posted on September 11. Camila, 22, who was seated by him, quipped: “Yeah, really hurt our feelings.”

“We just want to show you guys how we really kiss,” Shawn concluded, before turning toward his girlfriend with a dreamy-eyed look. What followed was a hilarious and bizarre show of affection where the two leaned in and indulged in a sloppy, open-mouthed kiss.

The makeout session continued for many seconds and, by the end of the video, Camila was seen struggling to stifle her laughter. A number of celebrities commented on the video.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAH," wrote musician Charlie Puth, while YouTube star Nikita Dragun commented, “I think this video got me pregnant.”

The duo sparked relationship rumors after they collaborated for the second time for the music video for 'Senorita'. Their 2019 MTV Video Music Awards performance in New Jersey on August 26 was riddled with PDA and the two stopped just short of kissing on stage.

While the 'Treat You Better' singer has famously maintained that he will be refraining from discussing his love life in public since it would directly affect the other one in the relationship, the 'Havana' singer has not shied away from dishing about her personal life.

"This past year and a half was the first time I really experienced falling in love with another person. I think there is so much more depth to love when you know you are in it with another person," Camila said in an interview with Elle, earlier this month. "People can say whatever they want to say. They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching. That is how I want to live. I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved."
