Shawn Johnson and children enjoy their first trip to Disneyland in plane co-piloted by husband Andrew East
ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Shawn Johnson East and her two children enjoyed their first trip to Disneyland on May 20. The 31-year-old former Olympic gymnast and her two children, two-year-old daughter Drew Hazel and 19-month-old son Jett James, were flown to the theme park in an aircraft co-piloted by her husband, ex-NFL player Andrew East.
Johnson shared a number of pictures from the fun-filled family outing on Instagram. She said that her her children were "living the life" in a photo of the children in a double stroller, saying, "I was the crazy mum that put sunscreen on them 27 times today hahaha."

‘Disney, here we come’
Johnson was taken aback as her son, who was tall for his age, was "(not) tall enough for a lot of rides." "He lives for speed," she wrote. "All of Drew's princess dreams came true today and not a single Princess disappointed," she captioned a photo where her daughter was seen walking hand-in-hand with Snow White. "It is so incredibly special to see the lengths they go to create dreams for all of the kiddos in the park," the joyful mother wrote.
On Thursday, May 25, Johnson posted images and a video of her family flying in an aircraft that East co-piloted. "Disney here we come! Daddy is flying!!!!!" she captioned a photo in which Jett was fast asleep in her lap.
‘You are a very good pilot’
Another photo showed Jett wide awake and wearing a headset. It was captioned, "Listening to dada in the headset." The subsequent images showed the toddler gazing out the window while Drew, who was also wearing headphones, was playing on her tablet.
Johnson captioned another photo, "So proud of you @andrewdeast, you've worked really hard for this and you are a very good pilot," which showed her husband in the cockpit. She responded to queries that some of her fans had about them travelling in an aircraft East co-piloted.
"A lot of questions about this. No, I'm not nervous. I trust Andrew and he takes it very seriously," She wrote, adding, "Our family rule is if kids are onboard or both of us (both parents), even though Andrew CAN fly us solo we always have a second pilot to be extra cautious."
