Sharon Osbourne might have had a rocky marriage with her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, but they have always managed to find their way back to each other. While most of the obstacles encountered by Sharon in her marriage were due to her husband's sex and drug addiction issues, problems also arose in the initial stage of their relationship due to her affair with guitarist Randy Rhoads.
Former 'The Talk' host, who is credited with reviving Ozzy's career after he was kicked out of the heavy metal group Black Sabbath, which was managed by her father, in 1976, put together a new backup band made up of Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake for the recording of The Blizzard of Ozz and soon after Ozzy began touring and selling millions of records. Soon Ozzy and Sharon became friends with Rhoads. Rhoads died in 1982.

In December 2003, years after Rhoads died, in her family memoir, 'Ordinary People: Our Story,' Sharon revealed that she had an affair with Rhoads while she was dating Ozzy. According to US Weekly, Sharon and Ozzy started dating in 1979. And the affair in question, according to the ex-talk show host happened in 1980. As soon as the news of Sharon's affair with the guitarist leaked into the press before the book release, all hell broke loose and her own fans began accusing her of cheating on Ozzy.
Sharon addressed the cheating rumors on her former talk show, 'The Sharon Osbourne Show' for the first time. "So it comes out now, and it is all twisted and people are saying I cheated on my husband," she said. Sharon was also approached by Extra to set the record straight. "Yes, I do want to set it straight. Before my husband and I actually were engaged, before we were married, I had a great friendship, as did my husband, with Randy," she said, adding "I definitely wasn't married to my husband at the time. Randy died before my husband and I were married."
Sharon admits to having sex with Rhoads
Around the same time, to promote her book, Sharon went on the 'Howard Stern Show' and revealed that she had indeed slept with Rhoads but Ozzy and she were not in a serious relationship at the time she had the affair. She had been dating her then-future husband for a month when the tryst took place. In fact, Ozzy was still married to his wife Thelma Riley at the time.
She revealed that she had to leave Ozzy's house one night and she went off with Rhoads. They got drunk and had sex. She claimed that she told Ozzy about the incident the day after it happened, and they had a huge fight over it. She also said she regretted the fact that she wrote about the affair in her book and didn't want to ever embarrass Ozzy by doing so. She maintained that she only slept with Rhoads that one time and did it out of spite because she was jealous of Riley.
Ozzy still supports Sharon
Even though the pair have had their ups and downs, Ozzy has supported his wife through thick and thin. In the latest instance, after Sharon was forced to leave 'The Talk' following accusations of "racism" and backlash over showing support for her friend, ex-British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Ozzy stood up in support of his wife. The 72-year-old singer shared a picture of him with Sharon on Instagram and wrote, “I can’t f*cking hear you! #TeamSharon.”
