A Thai masseuse, who was booked to give Shane Warne and his friends a foot rub, has revealed how he wouldn't wake up when she knocked on his door. Warne, 52, died from a suspected heart attack at the luxury Samujana Villas resort on the Thai holiday island of Koh Samui on Friday, March 4.

According to the police, four female masseuses were captured on CCTV leaving the resort minutes before his body was discovered. One masseuse nicknamed Pen, 45, revealed that she was booked to give massages, foot rubs, and nail treatments to Warne and his three pals at the villa about 5 pm. But when Pen and a maid knocked on Warne's door, there was no reply. So, she texted her boss saying, "He’s not having a massage now, he won’t wake up." Moments later, friends who were on a lads break with Warne, discovered his lifeless body.

Pen revealed that she had already given one of Warne's mates a nail treatment on the same property. She told The Sun, "Shane was having a massage and the two other girls left before me. I had a text saying that I would do his nails and a foot massage when they had finished."

She continued, "I think Shane was sleeping in his room the whole time because I didn’t see him while I was giving a nail treatment to his friend." Pen added, "I was supposed to go to see Shane after that but when the maid knocked on his door there was no reply. There was no sound in the room and they said he was sleeping, so I left." She further said, "When I got home I was told he had died, so I was really sad. I think that he had been dead while I was in the villa."

Police have ruled out any foul play and an autopsy confirmed that he died of natural causes. Police chief Yuttana Sirisombat told Daily Mail, "He [Warne] called the girl to massage. It was just massage. He didn’t die because of the massage. He wasn’t well."

Police revealed that there were blood spots on the carpet and vomit after Warne's friends performed CPR for at least 20 minutes before paramedics arrived.

Paramedic Anuch Han-Iam told the media on the scene that when he and his colleague responded to the emergency call, Warne's friends were already trying to revive him by performing CPR. "They were desperate. I think one was crying. They were really stressed and panicked," the paramedic said. "They kept trying to wake him and I heard someone saying, 'Come on, Shane, come on, Shane'." The paramedic added that the room was clean and there were no signs of partying.

Warne's body is now being repatriated back to Australia where he is to be given a state funeral at Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of an estimated 100,000 mourners. However, concerns have been raised that Warne may have been putting strain on his body with a grueling 14-day fluid-only diet to "shred" as he put it on social media which he had just completed before flying to Thailand as part of a three-month period of relaxation. Warne's manager James Erskine clarified, "He did go on these ridiculous sorts of diets, and he was just finished with one. It was a bit all or nothing. It was either white buns with butter and lasagne."
