Interestingly, the singer's former partner, Gerard Pique, recently mentioned the F1 champion during a conversation with his close friend and soccer colleague, Sergio Aguero.
It seems that Shakira has found love again after her split from Pique. The news has been hard for the soccer player to avoid as speculation was rife that Shakira and Hamilton were in the early stages of a potential relationship. In a recent Twitch stream, the former FC Barcelona player found himself in an awkward position when a viewer asked in the comments section, "Do you support an English [driver]?"

Aware that the conversation was heading toward Hamilton, Pique tactfully avoided mentioning any names. He responded, "Yes, I follow the one who is number one." It was then his friend Aguero said, "But is number one English? I don’t know who it is."
The audience couldn't help but notice that Pique was uncomfortable with the topic. Even though his relationship with Shakira ended because of his actions, he appeared uneasy with the attention and being asked about his ex-partner's rumored current flame. However, Pique declared, "I am a fan of Hamilton, I like Hamilton. What is the problem?" He then ended the discussion by saying, "He’s done… he’s a fan of Hamilton. He’s already here, what’s up?"
Shakira is reportedly having 'fun' with Lewis Hamilton
Shakira appears to be taking steps toward healing from her past relationship with Pique. Recent reports suggested that she was now romantically involved with the Mercedes race car driver.
Their budding relationship gained attention after they were spotted getting close to each other following Hamilton's participation in the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, where he finished second. Sources told People, "They're spending time together and in the 'getting to know you' stage. It's fun and flirty."
