Shakira’s entourage not happy about Lewis Hamilton romance rumors as he is too similar to Gerard Pique
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Shakira and Lewis Hamilton’s romance rumors have kept fans on social media users speculating even though neither the singer or race car driver have made things 'official'. The pair was first linked after they were spotted enjoying a yacht ride in front of the former’s Miami home last month. The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer also flew to Barcelona to watch Hamilton as he competed in F1 Grand Prix Spain before having dinner together after the game.
Journalist Jordi Martin addressed the ongoing dating speculations on the programme ‘Amor y fuego’ (Love and Fire) and said Shakira is “happy and excited” about her recent chemistry with Hamilton. However, the reporter also shared that Shakira's entourage is far from impressed with her rumored romance as they think Hamilton is a “womanizer”.
‘He is a fickle person’
While Martin alleged that Shakira’s entourage thinks Hamilton is a “womanizer,” El Confidencial reported that people from the singer’s close circle fear that the F1 star has “a very similar profile to Gerard Pique,” as per Marca. Her entourage is also allegedly worried about Hamilton’s nature, especially when it comes to his sentiments.
“He is a fickle person in the sentimental field, who mainly enjoys the process of conquest, and whose priority is his professional interests; beyond love, Lewis is a man with a strong character, sometimes complicated to deal with; at other times, charming,” some insiders alleged as per the publication. Prior to the latest news, inside sources told People that Shakira and Hamilton were getting to know each other and enjoying each other’s company. “They're spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage. It's fun and flirty,” an insider mentioned.
In addition to her romance rumors, the ‘Waka Waka’ hitmaker is reportedly focusing on her children and her professional life. She has already started working on new songs for future release and is allegedly set to collaborate with singer Manuel Turizo for her next project.
Lewis Hamilton’s past relationships
Back in 2002, Hamilton reportedly dated model and TV personality Danielle Lloyd for around six months. The relationship reportedly ended on a friendly note and Lloyd said the duo remained cordial after the split. The seven-time world champion also sparked romance rumors with Jodia Ma between 2003 and 2007. The pair met while studying at the university but separated after Hamilton rose to fame. However, Ma only praised her former partner while speaking to the press about his success in F1.
Hamilton was also linked to 2007 Miss World Vivian Burkhardt just weeks before being spotted with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger at the Monaco Grand Prix, which started off Hamilton’s most high-profile relationship. The couple often made news for their on-and-off relationship for eight years before calling it quits in 2015, citing their respective busy schedules as the reason behind the split.
Hamilton mostly kept his private life under the wraps after parting ways with Scherzinger but continued to be linked with several prominent ladies. Months after his split from Scherzinger, Hamilton was seen with Rihanna in New York. While the sighting sparked immediate dating rumors, the pair did not confirm the nature of their relationship. The F1 star also started dating Veronica Valle in 2015 but the pair had a bitter breakup just after three months of relationship. In 2016, Hamilton was often spotted together with Rita Ora. The duo was seen vacationing in Montenegro before the singer attended the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with Hamilton and his mother Carmen Larbalestier.
That same year, Hamilton was also seen with Barbara Palvin at multiple Grand Prixs but the nature of their relationship remained unknown. The car racer also linked to Kendall Jenner after being seen out on a holiday with the Kardashian-Jenner family. He was even pictured with Winnie Harlow towards the end of 2016 before the pair was spotted cozying up sometime in 2017. Hamilton also sparked romance rumors with Sofia Richie and Nicki Minaj but none of the speculation was ever confirmed.
