Shakira and Lewis Hamilton's romance rumors intensify as duo enters 'getting to know you stage'
BARCELONA, SPAIN: Shakira is apparently growing closer to a new partner after she separated from Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique last year. According to People, multiple sources have confirmed to the outlet that the Colombian singer and popular Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton are keeping things "fun and flirty" following a series of public outings.
"They're spending time together and in the 'getting to know you' stage," says an insider who knows both. "It's fun and flirty."
Shakira recently attended the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in Spain
It was recently reported that the 46-year-old "Queen of Latin Music" was present in the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona where Hamilton, 38, drove for Mercedes and secured second place in the event. The "Waka Waka" singer was later seen hanging out with the British racing driver.
Shakira and Hamilton went out for dinner and drinks
The duo was later seen going out after the event with a group of friends including Daniel Caesar, Fai Khadra, and Mustafa, the photo of which was shared on the seven-time World Drivers' Championship winner's Instagram profile. In the image, Hamilton was seated next to Shakira with his hand around her waist as they smiled while enjoying cocktails.
The mother of two was spotted hanging out with Hamilton and friends last month for a boat outing in Miami after they attended the 2023 Grand Prix. Her appearance at the event took place a day after she received Billboard's first Woman of the Year award at the inaugural Latin Women in Music gala. She seemingly referred to her highly public separation from her ex during the acceptance speech.

'This has been a year of seismic change in my life'
"This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I've felt more than ever β and very personally β what it is to be a woman," she addressed the audience while accepting the honor. "It's been a year where I've realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be," Shakira continued. "Because what woman hasn't at some time in her life forgotten herself because she's seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me, more than once," she added.
Shakira and Pique confirmed their relationship back in March 2011 and stayed together for more than a decade before they parted ways in June last year.
