Shailene Woodley trolled for 'agree to disagree' stance on politics with fiance Aaron Rodgers
Actress Shailene Woodley is being trolled by the Internet for her "agree to disagree" stance when it comes to politics with fiance and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A source told People, "They are not talking about their politics, and they never really have. They disagreed on a lot of things. Early on, they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them. She is not someone whose mind you can change, so Aaron hasn't even tried."
Aaron Rodgers is known for being an anti-vaxxer and making controversial political statements. The Internet was quick to troll the 30-year-old actress for being okay with his "lying to avoid Covid protocols," and "endangering others."

A user tweeted, "Personally I could not be with someone with such contrasting views from mine. Don't have to be all the same, but core values, such as these, I would need agreement on. Don't understand how Shailene Woodley or Cheryl Hines can live with their partners," while another said, "It feels like a very for PR relationship. None of it makes sense."

One user said, "Interesting. A couple who decided that not communicating is best for their relationship. Let's see how this unfolds....." and another commented, "How sweet. Their privilege makes this “no stance” possible." A third user made a sarcastic comment that said, "Agree to disagree on whether or not it's cool to spread misinformation that's killing thousands of people a day," and a fourth stated, "There’s politics and then there’s showing time and time again that you don’t care about anyone but yourself."

Rodgers had announced that he was engaged in February 2021 during his NFL MVP acceptance speech. Two weeks later, Woodley confirmed on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' that she is his fiance. She said, “When we announced that we were engaged, we wanted to do that only because we didn't want someone else to do it before we did. And we didn't do it for months and months after we had become engaged, but the reaction to it was really a lot, and so we were like, 'Let’s just politely decline [to talk about the relationship] for a little while and live in our little bubble,' reported The Hollywood Reporter.
