Meghan ghosted high school boyfriend after landing Suits role, says friend: 'Everyone was in love with her'
'Shahs of Sunset' star Nema Vand has revealed new details about his former high school friend Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry.
Vand shared that Meghan had "toyed" with all the boys' hearts in high school including his own. He also claimed that she had "ghosted" one of his very close friends after landing a role on the TV show 'Suits'.
While on an episode of the 'Reality Life with Kate Casey' podcast, Vand got candid on his friendship with Meghan and said that the two had attended high school together. He shared, "I went to an all-boys high school, and one of our sister schools was Meghan Markle’s."
"I grew up with her. We were friends for a long time. She was a year older than me. Meghan was amazing...a woman among girls. Everyone was in love with her. She was sweet and very kind," he added. Meghan had attended the all-girls Catholic establishment — Immaculate Heart High School.
"We admired her. She was a good friend," he said of Meghan. "She knew exactly what she was doing. She toyed with our hearts masterfully. We all swooned for her. We were at a party one time and she sat on my lap. She got nose to nose with me," he recalled.
"For a 16-year-old guy, that is an emotional moment. She said to me in Farsi, 'You are so beautiful'. I asked her, "How do you know Farsi?" She said, "I learned it for you." Then she walked away," he continued.
"I like to hope Meghan Markle is watching 'Shahs of Sunset' and I like to hope she tells that almost make out story as authentically as I do," Vand said.
Meghan is currently the mother of one and is married to the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry. Vand also spoke about how Meghan had "ghosted" a close friend of his and while he did not say anything negative about her, he did call her out for what she did.
"If Meghan listens to this — I’m gonna say this one time — Meghan, you really upset our friend Gabe. My friend Gabe that I grew up with dated Meghan in high school, and he said that after she got on 'Suits', they were friends for years afterward. And he was like, 'Yeah, she kind of, like, ghosted me after Suits' and it, like, really hurt his feelings. I got the sense that Gabe really valued her friendship," Vand shared.
He also defended Meghan against all the negative press that she had received in light of her and Prince Harry choosing to step down as senior members of the royal family. "Seeing the toxicity of her breaking up the royal family is just, like, it boggles my mind," Vand shared.
"These are people who don't know her, never grew up with her, know nothing about her," he revealed. "And, you know, it's kind of a larger version of what we deal with on Shahs."
"It's, like, people really form these opinions without knowing a lot. So, I would just tell people to reserve judgment on that because she's OK. She’s a good person," he concluded.
Harry and Meghan are currently living in Tyler Perry's Beverly Hills mansion in the US along with their one-year-old son Archie.
