Serena Williams is one hard working mommy. After managing her career as one of the most famous and successful tennis pros on the planet, she also makes sure she devotes ample time towards parenting her 15-month-old daughter Olympia.
On Wednesday, the tennis professional posted a sweet photo on her Instagram which showed her walking on the beach, hand-in-hand with her little baby girl. The Grand Slam champ and her little girl looked quite engrossed with their walk while having the blue ocean behind them and blue skies above them in the background.
In the photo, the tennis star is clad in a black one-piece and a very wide-brimmed sun hat, while her daughter wore a colorful, patterned romper for their day out. The adorable picture was taken by Williams' husband and Olympia's father Alexis Ohanian.
Williams, as we know, was at the peak of her professional career when she welcomed her first child last year. And ever since, she has been speaking about the challenges of maintaining a high-flying sports career while being a focused mother to a young child.
In one of her previous interviews, the tennis champ said that she simply 'doesn't know' how she makes things work. "Honestly, I don't know. I go to bed every night thinking, 'How did I get through this day?' I'm sure a lot of people out there can relate, right? It's like, this day is over, it's 10 o'clock, I got through it. How did that happen?"
She currently has an extremely packed schedule, on top of her intense training regime. "I'm training on top of running this fashion company, on top of being a full-time mom. I'm super hands-on as a mom. I just take it as it is and realize that everyone goes through the same thing," she explained.

"I think it's really important to realize that no day is going to be perfect. For me, that's really hard because I strive for perfection, and I feel like everything I do has to be great and has to be perfect because I am a true perfectionist," Williams added.
"But that's impossible. That's not reasonable. Then I realize that, OK, I had a rough day today, let's do something to make it better tomorrow. I think it's important to expect to have some really rough times when you're going through something, but always know that you can overcome it."
Williams said that she wanted at one point to learn to code in her spare time, but then her fame came with a certain responsibility. "[It's important to] encourage people to support each other. Especially as women of color. We really have to support each other. I always like to say that women really should support each other, because the success of one woman should be the inspiration to the next. If we look at it that way, there would be so much more than we can accomplish."
