Serena Williams has always been proud of being a mother while juggling her career. However, there are times when Williams feels overwhelmed with emotions. She recently shared a picture with her two-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia. The picture shows Alexis resting herself as Williams holds her close to her chest.

The picture shows the real image of a mother who tries to manage both personal and professional lives. Williams acknowledged that being a working mom is not easy and there are times when emotions get the better of you.

"I am not sure who took this picture but Working and being a mom is not easy. I am often exhausted, stressed, and then I go play a professional tennis match," she wrote. "We keep going. I am so proud and inspired by the women who do it day in and day out. I’m proud to be this baby’s mama."

Williams hinted that the picture was her showing people who she really is as she follows the caption along with hashtags that read, "no filter", "no makeup" and "no hairbrush". She ends this with a hashtag that reads "just me".

Williams has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles and has even beaten her sister Venus Williams seven times.

Many celebrities came forward in support of Williams. Author Elaine Welteroth wrote, "Beautiful inside and out we need more real mom content like this on the Internet (to help prepare us non-moms)". Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon and Ashley Graham commented "facts" and "thank you", respectively.

Witherspoon is a proud mother of three children while Graham recently welcomed her first child, a baby boy. Fans also thanked Williams for showing the real face of women who work. "Thank you for being open about this. Working moms are expected to work like they’re not mothers, and then mother like they don’t work. Take solace in knowing you’re not alone," one person wrote.

Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "It is so hard. Especially for women who don’t have a mom or aunt or nanny to help out while she goes to work. I recently met someone who had to keep her older child home from school to look after his sick sibling, coz she just had to go to work and keep earning. And then there's the stress and guilt. Gosh, I wish we could figure this out."
