Lindsey Graham says he will shoot gangs with AR-15 during natural disaster, Internet mocks 'survivalist fanfic'
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Fox News' Chris Wallace on Sunday, that in the event of a "natural disaster" in the state, his house would be "the last one the gang will come to" because he could defend himself with an AR-15 that he owns. "I own an AR-15. If there's a natural disaster in South Carolina where the cops can't protect my neighborhood, my house will be the last one that the gang will come to, because I can defend myself," he said. He also dismissed chances of Democrats' passing legislation that would ban guns and other assault weapons in the United States, saying "it won't get 50 votes, much less 60."

'Survivalist fanfic'
'Talking Points Memo' host Josh Marshall said, "pretty standard. survivalist fanfic coming right from a US senator." In an additional tweet, he said, "The fact that a pasty & delicate senior like Lindsey not only fantasizes but is happy to say on national tv that he's gonna go full Bronson on the marauding gang raiding his house after the hurricane to bogart his cache of Fritos tells you alot abt the trouble this country is in."
When the host spoke to Graham about a law that makes it a crime to give food and water to people standing in like, Graham replied with a ""That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me". A Twitter user said, "Even Lindsey Graham can't defend Georgia Republicans making it a crime to give food and water to people waiting in line to vote". ""I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink." - Matthew 25:35 *Offer not valid in Georgia," said a tweet quoting a line from The Bible.

'Confederate sleepers infiltrating govt'
"Senator Graham was scared of Trump’s tweets, but is totally psyched for single-handed gun battle to the death against rampaging street gangs," noted a Twitter user.
"Lindsey Graham was soft on protecting the US Capitol, Legislators and the former Vice President when under a 200,000 strong terror attack, but tout a Prepper theory for himself. There's something indeed wrong, there are Confederate sleepers infiltrating the USA government," said another. They were responding to a post by 'The Princess Bride' director Rob Reiner, who said: "When you can’t pass legislation that has the support of 70-90% of the American people, something is seriously wrong our system of Government."

'Saw Sharknado and said "What about Hurrigangs"'
Many made lemonade with the lemons that were thrown. Minnestota Democrat Al Franken quipped: "Working on a new screenplay. Character study about a chain gang in rural GA. Each convict gave water to someone waiting in line to vote." Another Twitter user said, "lindsey graham saw sharknado and said "what about hurrigangs".
""The suggestion that a twerp like Lindsey Graham could be some sort of tough guy fending away apocalyptic invaders is just the narrative they sell. It's what the gun lobby wants Republicans to say in order to sell more guns," Parkland survivor Cameron Kasky says to @mehdirhasan.", said an MSNBC tweet. "Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham pretending to be all "masculine" all the time it just really fucking cracks me up," said another.
