LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a spirited ode to Halloween, 'Selling Sunset' stars Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause along with Chelsea Lazkani revealed their creative costume theme that, in a surprising twist, didn't sit well with some netizens.

The trio opted for a theme reminiscent of the infamous "Kill, Marry, F**k" game, a concept that proved to be quite the conversation starter – but not without its fair share of controversy.

In the images shared by Emma on Instagram, the three stars showcased three distinct costumes, each embodying different aspects of their theme. However, it was the underlying premise that had many in the online community raising eyebrows.

The game's inherent nature, involving hypothetical choices about who to kill, marry, or engage intimately with, left some uncomfortable.

Critics accused the trio of perpetuating stereotypes and promoting violence through their costume theme, which featured gore-themed makeup and visuals.

The graphic nature of their portrayal caused a stir, with some suggesting that it ventured into an offensive territory. Others argued that their theme conveyed the wrong message and, in their eyes, was in poor taste for the Halloween season.

"Why are we glorifying violence??????" a user wrote. "Wow. What a message .. Halloween or not. Unfollowing you," another commented.

"The way this perpetuates stereotypes about who is “marriage material” and who is “f**kable,” a user said. Another user mentioned, "Why is everything you post so sexualized?"

Despite the separation, the former couple chose to remain close friends, highlighting the depth of their bond.

In December 2021, Jason, the Oppenheim heir, openly praised Chrishell, acknowledging her as "the most amazing girlfriend" he had ever had. Their split marked the end of a profoundly fulfilling chapter in their lives, one that had brought them immense happiness and satisfaction.
