LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez opened up about her relationship status while she was watching a soccer game. months after dating rumors with Zayn Malik, 30. In a TikTok clip shared on Thursday, June 8, the singer is seen screaming at the players saying "I'm single!" before adding, "I’m just a little high maintenance, but I’ll love you so much."

Gomez was seen sitting on the sidelines at the game, wrapped in a scarf and jacket in the footage where one of her friends can be heard laughing in the background. "The struggle man lol," the former Disney Channel star captioned the video. 

'I like being alone too much'

Gomez addressed her relationship status for the first time after she was romantically linked to Malik. In March, they topped the headlines after the duo was allegedly spotted on a date night at a New York City restaurant. However, the 'Wizard of Waverly Place' actress was spotted dining with Malik's assistant that same month, according to Page Six.

Before the news of their dating rumors broke out, Gomez was also spotted along with 'The Chainsmoker's' Drew Taggart on a date. She then took to Instagram to clarify that she is single. "I like being alone too much. #iamsingle," she captioned the post in January with a black-and-white photo.

In early March, the businesswoman did a TikTok voiceover. "I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.' Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!", the songwriter said at the time.

After Gomez made her hilarious update on her relationship status, fans rushed to comment on the singer's video. One Twitter user wrote, "The level of unbothered...take notes, everyone. She is the internet's main character, always serving drama," while another wrote, "Selena Gomez is my spirit animal," and someone tweeted, "Never seen someone so desperate."

"I used to love her but I can’t anymore I can’t defend her like why is she posting this," a fan tweeted as another person agreed saying, "I know she’s playing haha hehe but I don’t like when she acts like that. Literally Anyone would drop their lives to be with her and we all know that so why act almost…desperate."
