Selena Gomez visited the 'Ryan Seacrest's show' in Los Angeles to promote her two new songs 'Lose You To Love Me' and 'Look At Her Now'.

It was during this chat that Selena revealed that while she loved working on her 2014 song 'The Heart Wants What It Wants', she is not in the same place anymore.

Her interview about the relationship that she was in with Justin Bieber and how she pulled herself back up after their breakup.

'Lose You To Love Me' is the other side to 'The Heart Wants What is Wants' and Gomez confessed that she was happy now to have been able to move forward from all of the things that she felt about her "beautiful and ugly" relationship with Bieber.

She said, "I released the song 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' ages ago and that video was one of my favorites. And I felt like within going... from there to going where I am now, it's like the greatest feeling. It made sense."

"Behind what I am saying in 'Lose you to Love me', it is very black and white. There is no in-between. Then 'Look at Her Now', that's just my life exploding into all these different amazing things," the singer shared.

Gomez also spoke about what it was like to see someone she dated with someone else, just two months after their split. She said that luckily for her she had been through something like this many times.

"That's the unfortunate part about what I do. It's all very real to me and I am sure it is just entertainment for other people. I think I had become numb to it. It would be stupid of me if I didn't acknowledge what I had felt because it would be inauthentic."

Gomez also said there were all these feelings in her as she was going through the break up which she wanted to validate. She added that writing about love, in a way is not negative.

She feels that it's something positive "that I was able to experience that as beautiful and ugly as it was. I think it is beautiful that I have been able to turn this into a new chapter for me."

Gomez added that these two songs were her wrapping up a chapter in a pretty little way and that the rest of the album is all about where she is now and where she will be going. "In my opinion, these are great songs but I have saved the best for later."
