NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Mental state is something that everyone struggles with these days. Sadly, Savannah Chrisley had to go through this pain when she was just a teenager. In her Tuesday's episode of 'Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley' podcast, the TV personality detailed her suicide attempt.

Todd and Julie Chrisley's daughter struggled with her brain and claimed to have felt "foggy" while she was growing up. This indeed led to so much frustration that the 'Growing Up Chrisley' alum had to attempt suicide by taking a bunch of pills.

Savannah Chrisley details 'never really spoken' suicide attempt

In the April 4 episode of the 'Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley' podcast, Savannah sat down with Dr Amen and detailed her teenage suicide attempt experience. She said, "I've never really spoken about it before." The TV personality then detailed how she took a "bottle of pills" in order to attempt suicide. However, Savannah was thankful that nothing happened to her.

She stated, "Obviously it didn't work because I'm sitting here today, thank God." However, ever since her suicide attempt, she has been feeling a little different. Savannah said, "But ever since then I feel like with my brain, my memory, it's the most frustrating thing in the world, 'cause it feels so foggy.'" Dr Amen suggested Savannah go through the brain scan to help understand how exactly is her brain health.

Things took a turn after the incident

Savannah previously said in her podcast that things changed for her ever since she tried taking her life. She finds herself thankful to Joel Osteen for giving a new direction to her life. According to E! Online Savannah then detailed her next morning experience after the suicide attempt and said, "I remember that next morning waking up and there being a devotional that my dad had gotten in his email from Joel Osteen, and that's why I speak so highly of Joel because he kinda saved me."

Referring to her survival, Savannah added that all the hardships and adversities are turned around by God for one's advantage. She said, "In a snap of a finger, I went from this anger towards God to in my heart saying, 'All right, God, you know what, why not me?' Like, what makes me any better to have to go through these things than anyone else?" Moreover, Savannah went through depression while she was in college. The star hid her pain and therefore calls herself "great at hiding emotions." However, as of now, mental health is Savannah's top priority.
