The 40-year-old star got embroiled in controversy after she launched her OnlyFans page a few weeks ago and posted raunchy snaps there regularly. She was reportedly warned by the show makers to take down her OnlyFans account but Dunne refused to do so. Dunn was especially criticized for her conduct since the show 'Hollyoaks' caters to a younger audience. However, her stern refusal to remove her OnlyFans account ended up badly for the star, who was soon axed from the show that she had been appearing since 1996.
Dunn essayed the role of Mandy Richardson on the teenage drama 'Hollyoaks', one of the key characters in the show. She first appeared way back in 1996 and reprised her role again in 2017. Dunn was making a steady six-figure income from the popular British series. The actress and adult model had always considered her racy photoshoots as a form of personal empowerment. However, Lime Pictures, the production company behind the show seemed to disagree with her about sharing such photos on OnlyFans. Their decision to axe Sarah Jayne Dunn has already been slammed by her fans and loyal supporters. Previously, another Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis was also sacked in 2015 for her scandalous lifestyle.

The 40-year-old mother had a prolonged dispute with the producers ever since she started sharing X-rated photos on the subscription platform. According to an insider source, the conflict eventually ended with Dunn leaving the show altogether. "Nobody at the show wishes to condemn people’s personal decisions about OnlyFans or online content – and of course women are totally free to make their own choices about the sort of photographs they wish to take of themselves – but this was about whether it is something that tallies with the show’s audience. In the end, they have parted ways over it," the source mentioned.
'Hollyoaks' creators released a statement defending their decision to fire Dunn, as they noted, "Hollyoaks is a youth-facing drama with many young viewers, who follow our cast very closely, both in the soap and outside of it. We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites."
The show's spokesperson further added, “We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role as Mandy, but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans. In the past four years since her return to the show, her legacy character has been an integral part of some our most important storylines and we will be very sad to see her go."
Meanwhile, Sarah Jayne Dunn had earlier opened up about her decision to join OnlyFans, saying, "I’m simply moving my sexier, racier images to another platform. This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about, not one I’ve taken lightly or on a whim, it’s about taking back control, about empowerment and confidence and having full power over my choices."
The actress had been associated with the showbiz since 12 years of age and had occasionally modelled for photoshoots in her initial years. In fact, she landed her first role on TV thanks to her professional shoot with a modelling agency. She had also posed for men's magazines often but has now decided to attach a subscription fee of $20 to her A-rated photos and videos. Her OnlyFans profile also comprises an Amazon wishlist where fans can easily access her kinky outfits and costumes.
While Dunn has not issued any statement since her removal from 'Hollyoaks', her fans have voiced their protest against the decision. "I just wanted to say how abhorrent I think that their decision is. It’s absolutely disgusting and hypocritical of the show after all the calendars, tricky story lines including minors constantly talking about sex!?" a fan commented on Dunn's latest Instagram post.
