Jaden Smith reportedly leaned on the shoulder of his girlfriend Sab Zada amid the recent controversy surrounding his family.
The 23-year-old actor's family has been in the headlines since his father Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock in March for poking fun at his mother Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head at the 2022 Oscars. The 53-year-old 'I am Legend' star has since publicly apologized to Rock, 57, and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Earlier this month, Academy bosses ruled that Will would be banned from all Oscars events for 10 years as punishment for his actions. The 'King Richard' star said in an April statement, “My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. I betrayed the trust of the Academy.”
Jaden turned to his loyal group of friends amid all the drama, especially to his 22-year-old Instagram star girlfriend. “Jaden has incredibly supportive friends that have been there for him as well,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s had the same friend group for years and he’s always leaned on his inner circle for support.” The 'Karate Kid' star was recently spotted with Zada at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival over Easter weekend, after first sparking rumors of a relationship in September 2020. “They’re very much in love and talk about everything,” the insider continued. “He has shared his feelings about his father’s difficult situation with her and she has been nothing but supportive and loving and there for him.”
Jaden's sister Willow Smith was one of the performers on Coachella's first weekend. The siblings tried to have a good time amid their dad's scandal while hanging out in the desert over the weekend. “Jaden had an amazing time at Coachella with his friends and his girlfriend Sab Zada,” the source told the outlet. “They’ve been together a while now and are such a great fit for each other.”
It's worth noting that Jaden has dated numerous high-profile figures. In 2012, he had a brief fling with pal Sofia Richie, who announced her engagement to Elliot Grainger on Wednesday, April 20.
