Russian beauty queen demands $9 million London mansion, $29k a month from ex-Malaysian King in divorce battle
Russian beauty queen Oksana Voevodina who is the former wife of the ex-king of Malaysia is demanding a $9 million London mansion plus a £24,000 ($29k) monthly allowance as part of their messy divorce.
The 50-year-old former King Muhammad V is embroiled in a complicated and bitter battle with Voevodina, 27. As reported by DailyMail, a source said the ex-Miss Moscow had demanded the London mansion after she asked for one in the Russian capital. She also asked for around £24,000 as child support costs for the pair's son Leon.
As a response to this, Muhammad V reportedly told his courtiers, "Who does she think I am... Bill Gates?" With regards to the hefty allowance, the source also added, "Is he attending Eton next year that she needs so much for an infant?" According to The Straits Times, the couple had got divorced around 6 months after their union.
The new mother also revealed the baby's full name which reads Tengku Ismail Leon Petra Bin Tengku Muhammad V Faris Petra. Voevodina also claimed that she only found out about the divorce on the internet. She said she had not spoken to her former husband ever since he walked out on her in December 2018.
MEAWW had previously reported that she was willing to do a DNA test for the child as rumors said that the ex-king was not his father. The couple's divorce had been registered on July 1 along with a certificate that had the Kelantan state crest. It indicates that the divorce was done through the speaking of the words "talak" three times which is the most severe and irreversible form of divorce in Islam.
The couple's whirlwind romance had rocked Malaysia, just like their marriage. As a result of the romance, the king had to abdicate throne.
