'RuPaul's Drag Race': Kameron and Vanjie go on a date, fans call it 'Real Housewives' of manufactured drama

In the season finale of 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Vegas Revue,' Kameron Michaels and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo went out on a date to explore what more their relationship could be. Could they be more than friends? Possibly not. Their time together was filled with awkward silences and forced conversations, which made them realize that they are better off as friends.

Kameron and Vanjie were both eager to date each other and really thrilled to spend some time without the rest of the castmates around. However, their plans were marred by how silent Kameron was and how Vanjie was trying to push a conversation. But by the end of it, they both acknowledged how maybe they could simply continue to be friends.

Kameron took all of this well given how she was dumped recently. Her boyfriend of longtime Andre flew all the way to Los Angeles in the garb of being a supportive boyfriend but it turned out that he took all that trouble to tell Kameron and they were not getting along anymore. Andre had issues with Kameron's tight schedule and how they almost never get to meet because she is always traveling.

Meanwhile, fans are done with the drama that has been going on in the show. Some have called it the 'Real Housewives' of the drag race.

"This show is like all of the manufactured drama with none of the actual drag," a fan commented on the show's official Facebook page, while another commented: "it’s done like Real Housewives of Vegas with tag lines and all the drama."

"I'm ready for this season finale of Real Housewives of Vegas with my favorite queens #DragRaceVegas," a user tweeted, while another shared: "I am aware that Kameron/Vanjie is fake AF but I am here for it. Also, how dare anyone ever call Coco Montrese anyone’s understudy. She’s a LEGEND. #DragRaceVegas."

Interestingly, even if Kameron and Vanjie decided to continue they would have been in a long-distance relationship. The live show was canceled because of the pandemic and the castmates were forced to stay connected via phones and chats. It wouldn't have worked either way. However, the show will be back on January 28, 2021.
