Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and ex Jen Harley brawl in Vegas over their dead dog
Looks like things have gone south and further on with Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz Magro and his ex-girlfriend Jen Harley. According to Us Weekly reports, the former couple got into an ugly fight on Thursday night in Las Vegas.
Officer Jay Rivera of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told Radar Online that “a battery did take place last night at Planet Hollywood at around 9:30 pm.”
“Police arrived on the scene and did determine that there was unlawful contact against the will of another, in the case, against Mr. Ortiz-Magro,” said Rivera.
According to Rivera, Harley “fled the scene.”
According to an Us Weekly source, Harley showed up at the Las Vegas hotel where the Jersey Shore filming for season two was in progress on June 7. Initial reports say that Harley and Ortiz-Magro were fighting about their daughter. But later they began to bicker over their dog. Their dog recently died in their pool while Ortiz Magro was away filming.
“He grabbed his dog and put him in a safe spot,” says the source. “Jen thinks he drowned her dog and went crazy trying to find him. She went on a rampage.”
Adds the source: “Ron’s done a lot of stupid s—t in his life, but he isn’t in the wrong this time.”
Quoting Rivera about what exactly happened, “Ronnie and Jen have been fighting over their daughter. Ronnie has been filming the show in Vegas the last couple of days and Jen wouldn't tell him where their daughter is. She showed up to the hotel where they were filming. Jen lunged, spit and shoved Ronnie. Hotel security got involved, who then called the Las Vegas police department”
Reports from TMZ say that it was Harley who called the cops. They reportedly interviewed multiple witnesses and were told that Harley “punched him in the head” and “spat on him.”
However, by the time the police arrived, Harley had left the hotel. She is still wanted for questioning.
"Police arrived on the scene and did determine that there was unlawful contact against the will of another, in this case, against Mr. Ortiz-Magro," Officer Jay Rivera said.
According to Rivera, the department will issue a warrant for domestic violence to the District Attorney's office.
But Harley insists that she didn’t get physical with her ex. “I did not hit him, I did not punch him,” she told PEOPLE. “It was all recorded.”
Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz Magro have come to be known as the messiest cast members. Last month, Harley live streamed a video of a hostile argument with Ortiz Magro in which he shouted, "Put your f—ing hands on me again. I dare you. I f—ing dare you."
