Regardless of preconceived notions, modern polygamy isn't just about what the husband wants - he takes into account what his wives have to say, especially when it comes to growing their families. Season 4 'Seeking Sister Wife' proves this, seeing that growing their family is often a mutual decision. But that doesn't everyone is always entirely onboard with the idea.

Back in Season 3, when fans were introduced to Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield, it seemed as though Dannielle wasn't too keen on becoming a sister wife. Seeing that she had to divorce Garrick for him to be able to marry Roberta so that she could join them in the USA, there was a lot on the line. Some of her fears were put to rest when she met Roberta, seeing that the two hit it off, but there were still a few issues regarding intimacy among other things. It looks like now, in Season 4, the tides have changed, as Roberta is the one experiencing a wave of jealously.

While things have been smooth sailing with Roberta, save for the fact that she is still stuck in Brazil, Dannielle and Garrick are already on the hunt for another sister wife. Enter Lea Newton, a woman they met on social media. With Dannielle being the one insisting on them getting another wife, Lea and Garrick hit it off, prompting a successful match. And while the trio seem to be happy, it looks like Roberta isn't on the same page. Roberta is far from thrilled at the idea of having another sister wife while she is away.

If anything, it has led her to impose conditions on Lea and Garrick's relationship, the main one being she doesn't want them to get intimate or be affectionate. In the preview clip for Episode 2 of Season 4, Dannielle and Lea sit down and discuss the issue. Lea brings it to Dannielle's notice that Roberta has not been welcoming towards her or even tried to get to know her for that matter. The way Dannielle sees it is that she has gotten over the insecurities that she faced when she met Roberta but speculates that Roberta is now going through those issues herself. While Garrick tries to pacify Roberta over a video call, it seems to be of little help, as she is visibly upset over the issue.

What do you think? Will Lea be a part of the Merrifield family? Sound off in the comments below.

Season 4 of 'Seeking Sister Wife' premieres on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 10 pm. ET. You can watch the reality series on TLC.
