Was Dannielle Merrifield forced into a plural family? 'Seeking Sister Wife' fans say 'her a** is in danger'

Going from a monogamous family to a plural family is not easy and Dannielle Merrifield is starting to feel the pressure

Getting on board with the idea of polygamy after being in a monogamous relationship is not an easy transition. Especially if one partner is completely on board, while the other is still on the fence.

For Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield, the transition from a monogamous family to a plural one has not been easy. For starters, their new sister wife, Roberta, happens to be all the way in Brazil. To add to it, Roberta only speaks Portuguese, so communication has proven to be an issue.

However, language is the least of Dannielle's worries. Having been married to Garrick since she was 18, she opened up about how she does feel wary about the new change that's headed their way. The only way the Merrifields' can successfully bring Roberta to the USA is via a K1 spousal visa. In order to do so, the pair have to file for a divorce, so that Garrick can marry Roberta instead. Danielle seems unsure of this process, seeing that if Garrick decides to run away with Roberta, she will truly be left with nothing. The process also seems to trigger a sense of fear in her, seeing that the couple has had issues before, where Garrick has printed out divorce papers. Garrick seems to be the one driving this idea home, even though their friends and family have had a hard time adjusting to this new change, calling Dannielle a "lesbian", calling Garrick a "sex maniac" and stating that the couple is "demon-possessed". However, the couple seems determined to see this plural marriage through.

Twitter, much like their family, was not convinced that the couple was in this for the right reasons. "1 year and 4 months... None of them have taken the time to learn the other’s language. #SeekingSisterWife" pointed out a fan over the throuple's failure to communicate. "Omg Roberta was trying to get on #90DayFiance but accidentally got on #seekingsisterwife" joked another. "The Merrifields got married early so obviously he needed to convince his wife that the Bible says that he should be able to stick it into another woman. Lovely... #seekingsisterwife" pointed a fan. "I’ll be damned if I get a divorce so my man can get another wife. Shittin me #seekingsisterwife @TLC" tweeted an exasperated fan. "Danielle just don't know her ass is in Danger! This a episode of Snapped waiting to happen. Roberta not going back to Brazil, I know that much. #seekingsisterwife" said a fan.
