Robert Irwin says he will walk sister Bindi down the aisle when she marries boyfriend Chandler Powell at Australia Zoo
It was just a few months ago that Chandler Powell, 22, proposed to Steve Irwin's 21-year-old daughter, Bindi, at the Australia Zoo.
Bindi's brother Robert, 15, got candid on what went on behind the scenes during the special moment between Bindi and Chandler.
While appearing on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Robert revealed how he and his to-be brother-in-law had planned to capture the proposal after Bindi had said 'Yes'.
Robert told Fallon, "So, before we did it, Chandler came up to me... And of course, he asked mum and I for our permission... But he also said 'I want to make sure it's perfect where I'm doing this proposal'. So I stood in for Bindi and mocked up where he was going to propose."
He revealed that his sister had not seen the photos which they took during their rehearsal of the proposal, and then proceeded to show the photos to the host.
While the show was still going on, Bindi took to social media to say, "Chandler and Robert together getting the proposal photo just right... AMAZING!"
Robert also opened up about some of the plans for the wedding and shared some of the ideas he had given his elder sister. "It's going to be at the [Australia] Zoo. I'm walking Bindi down the aisle which is just going to be awesome," the 15-year-old proudly revealed. He revealed that he would love Idris Elba to DJ for the wedding party.
He also joked how he had suggested that they needed to do something that people would remember and so he suggested that they all repel out of choppers like a SWAT team. When asked how those plans were working out, Robert shared, "It was a flat no on the choppers. We'll see if we can push them."
Bindi had taken to social media earlier this month to reveal that they would be getting married in 2020 in front of their family and friends at the Australia Zoo.
