Rob Kardashian says he can no longer afford to pay Blac Chyna $20,000 in child support; asks her to pay him instead
Rob Kardashian's had enough of his ex Blac Chyna's tantrums, and now, as per reports, he wants to make a few changes to the child support payments that he makes every month. According to The Blast, the former couple has been locked in a legal battle over child support payments for their 2-year-old daughter Dream.
Rob claims that he can no longer afford to pay Chyna her dues, which roughly amount to about $20,000 per month, which is why he is now asking for a modification. The reclusive Kardashian also has made claims that his volatile relationship with Chyna, coupled with the domestic violence restraining order she filed last year against him have completely damaged his career and his reputation, as a result of which, he is unable to earn as much money as he potentially can.
The media outlet also reports that Rob has claimed that he even stopped participating in his family's hit show, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians', once his relationship with Chyna turned completely sour.
“I have not participated in the filming of any episodes since this summer when [Chyna] filed a request for a restraining order against me,” he says in the declaration, according to The Blast. “Her request was widely publicized and I was scrutinized by the media.”
Continuing, he said, “It has been an extraordinarily difficult time for me emotionally and I have no desire to continue participating in the reality show. I would like to maintain my privacy, try to recover from the emotional damage of the past several months, and explore other business ventures.”
As per reports, Rob, who earned an approximated $1 million salary from the popular E! show, was only paid a paltry sum of $50,000 per each episode in 2018, and that too for the only episodes that he actually appeared in. It is further alleged that Rob is not contractually obligated to appear in the show.
In the legal documents, it is clearly stated that his monthly income has drastically dwindled from nearly $100,000 a month to less than $10,000 since he split up with Chyna. Meanwhile, Rob has said that Chyna’s career only benefited from all the media attention that she got from his sisters' show to the point where she used their connections to start up her own show on the network.
Further, he said that all the attention surrounding their tumultuous relationship only resulted in her net worth rising through the roof. Reports say that Chyna is allegedly worth over $1.4 million. “She has appeared in the press and on social media to discuss both cases at every opportunity,” he says in his declaration.
The court documents also state that Rob has listed Chyna's monthly income as nearly $60,000 per month. So instead of him paying her child support, the KUWTK star is asking Chyna to pay him support, and his lawyers have come to a figure of $2,864 for his shared custody of Dream.
However, Chyna has reportedly objected to Rob's request, and instead of paying him any money, has, in turn, accused him of “manipulating” his financial situation. The latest report claims that all child support obligations have been suspended for now, and will remain on hold till Rob and Chyna have an agreement ready.
Both sides have been asked to hand over several financial documents. The two are reportedly scheduled to meet with a judge in December.
