Riley Keough rocks Graceland sweatshirt on lunch date with husband Ben amid feud with grandma Priscilla Presley
CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA: It was a laid-back lunch date for Riley Keough and Ben Smith Petersen as the pair stepped out for lunch. The two, who have been married for eight years, recently welcomed a daughter. Interestingly, Keough’s choice of attire for her outing, a Graceland sweatshirt, attracted quite a bit of attention as rumor has it that she is currently not on speaking terms with her grandmother Priscilla Presley.
Keough and Presley’s feud is said to have begun when the latter challenged her deceased daughter Lisa Marie’s will, where she was written out in 2016 to accommodate Keough and her brother, the now deceased Benjamin. The actress, 33, looked to be showing off her association with her legendary musician grandfather’s roots as she wore the sweater and paired it with black joggers and trainers. She wore her hair tied back in a messy ponytail and also wore sunglasses as she walked, coffee in hand. Her husband Petersen wore a grey t-shirt and stonewash jeans as he accompanied his wife, with a takeaway box. This appearance comes as Keough’s absence from the UK leg of promotions for her upcoming show ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ had been noted. The show is based on the popular book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Riley Keough skips UK premiere amid family feud
Amid reports of the Presley and Keough gearing up for a legal battle and that the two were not on speaking terms, Keough chose not to attend the UK premiere of her own Amazon Prime show ‘Daisy Jones and the Six.’ As the lead star, Keough was expected to attend, but it seems that given her present circumstances, she’s been allowed some personal time off. “No one really thought Riley would be involved in the screen and Q&A, given everything she has been through over recent weeks, but her absence was noticeable as her co-stars discussed scenes involving Daisy,” an attendee had said, according to Daily Mail.
The Presley-Keough inheritance battle
Sources say that it has been a “very tense and heartbreaking few weeks” for both Keough and Presley as both ladies prepare for a legal battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s estate. “Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member,” an insider had said about the dispute. According to Page Six, the source went on to admit that, “Priscilla is adamant that she has a valid case and that she will prevail in court. Riley and Priscilla aren’t communicating at this time, but have been in communication through lawyers.”
