Rick Moranis, is that you? FBI's mugshot of Capitol riot suspect resembles 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids' actor
Actor Rick Moranis, who is best known for 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids', is back in the news, after over a decade away from the spotlight. If you are wondering why have a look at this tweet from the FBI. "You can help the #FBI identify individuals involved in the January 6 violence at the U.S. Capitol. Visit http://tips.fbi.gov if you recognize this person. Reference photo 268 in your tip" they say.

There were enough 'Ghostbuster' references
"This guy looks like an evil Rick Moranis. Let’s help find him" one user tweeted. Another said, "I’m 82% sure that’s Rick Moranis". 'Ghostbusters' references were also aplenty, with one user tweeting, "If you spot the suspect confirm his identity by asking if he's the keymaster". Another said. One user tweeted, "I see that Rick Moranis fell in with a bad crowd after Ghostbusters 2". Of course, the actor is most well known for his role in 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids', and that was heavily referenced to. One user tweeted, "It’s rick moranis in “ Honey I shrunk the government". Comedian Tim Young tweeted, "I heard this guy shrinks kids too.... you should look into it." 'Rick, has it gotten that bad since Honey I Shrunk the Kids??' asked one user. Another tweeted, "Oh my God, Rick Moranis participated in the insurrection?"

The Canadian actor is best know for playing the role of Wayne Szalinski in the 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' series, Louis Tully is the 'Ghostbusters' franchise and Lord Dark Helmet in 'Spaceballs'. His last big-screen appearance was in 1996's 'Big Bully', but has gone on to appear in a few TV shows and direct-to-video films since then. He took a break from acting in 1997 to spend time with his two children.
Moranis will now return to the screen for 'Shrunk', a sequel to the 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' series. The film, produced by Disney, was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but is expected to resume production.
In 2020, he found himself back in the spotlight after appearing in a Mint mobile commerical with Ryan Renolds. In October 2020, he was punched on a New York City street, causing him to again step into the spotlight. Now, unfortunately, he is at the center of one of the darkest moments in American history, but hopefully, he can find a way to joke about it.
