Did 'RHOSLC' star Meredith Marks start the face mask trend? Fans say she's hiding 'a chemical peel gone wrong'

While Meredith seems to be head over heels in love with her face accessory, her co-stars don't seem to share the same feelings about her 'high fashion'

'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star Meredith Marks is usually one of the most impeccably dressed cast members on the show. The housewife's classic style has always been appreciated by everybody, but unfortunately, it looks like her latest accessory of choice wasn't a hit with fans.

On the finale episode of 'RHOSLC', Heather Gay threw a party to celebrate her business's expansion. All the ladies dressed up to nines to extend their support and love for Heather and her business, The Beauty Lab. Meredith, who is a popular jewelry designer, went all out when it came to dressing up for the party. The beautiful housewife wore a short black sequin blazer dress that had embellished and flashy silver lapels. But it wasn't her glitzy outfit that drew all the attention, instead, it was the sheer embellished face mask that the housewife had all across her face, that turned everybody's heads.

The housewife was seen sporting a sheer birdcage face mask with crystal embellishments all over it. The housewife revealed that her outfit was a result of a collaboration between designer Christian Cowan, and her son Brooks Marks. She posted a picture of her outfit on Instagram, and captioned it with, "Masked and ready for the finale tonight! 💖 Still obsessing over my icy dress made in collaboration by @christiancowan and @brooksmarks 💎 The crystal mask serves as a motif for what was to come."

While Meredith seems to be head over heels in love with her accessory of choice, her co-stars don't seem to share the same feelings. Whitney Rose joked in her confessional how Meredith would tell off the critics of her face mask by declaring that it was high fashion and they wouldn't get it. As the housewife predicted, in the next scene we see Meredith declaring that she was bringing high fashion to Utah.  Self-dubbed fashionista, Mary Cosby too felt that Meredith should never wear that mask ever again. Her fellow co-stars aren't the only ones who have some questions about her look, several fans took to Twitter to poke fun of Meredith's mask.

A fan tweeted, "Seriously it is like Meredith is wearing a chain face mask to hide a chemical peel gone wrong a la Samantha in Sex and the City #RHOSLC this is high fashion? I think not. It’s stupid.." Another fan wrote, "#RHOSLC so I know it’s fashion forward and whatnot but Meredith’s mask is giving me silence of the lambs vibes."

Fans also joked about how Meredith was already ready for the COVID with her mask. A fan shared, "Meredith was COVID fashion ready. #RHOSLC." Another fan commented, "Meredith really started covid with that mask, huh? #RHOSLC." "Meredith was wearing face masks before face masks were cool #RHOSLC #COVID," pointed a fan.
