'RHOP' Season 8 viewers slam Juan Dixon for yelling and 'invalidating' wife Robyn's feelings in dramatic episode

'RHOP' star Robyn Dixon opens up about her husband Juan Dixon's recent job loss

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Robyn Dixon is once again in the hot seat about her husband's activities in the eighth season, after addressing accusations about her connection with Juan Dixon on 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' Season 7 reunion.

Robyn spoke to her husband on the phone about their current financial condition in Season 8, Episode 7, only to be shouted at, and viewers are outraged.

In a later segment of the episode, Robyn reached out to Juan to delve into the topics discussed among the other women. During an interview, Robyn shared an update on the couple's financial status following his job loss.

"Financially, things are the same," she explained.

She said, "You know, even though he lost his job, Juan had 15 months left on his contract, so he was paid for 15 months of work. Hopefully, Juan gets a new job in 15 months before, you know, then we have to start making changes. But, financially, we're good."

Robyn stated over the phone that Dr Wendy Osefo, Karen Huger, and Candiace Dillard Bassett "had a lot to say about our whole situation."

"I can't listen to this anymore, because it's like so ridiculous," Juan said to his wife, adding. "It is getting blown way out of proportion. I need you to stop feeding into [it]."

"It's not their life! It's your life! It's our life!" he added, "I'm not going to let you keep allowing these women to get you super emotional."

On X, fans wrote, "Not one season goes by without Juan yelling at Robyn on the phone BUT they want us to believe he just pays for hotel rooms of random women because he’s being NICE. Yea ok lol." Another user chimed in, "Juan speaks to Robyn like he hates her. She’s worried about Candiace, Karen and Wendy, meanwhile she’s sucking, swallowing and sleeping with her biggest opp!"

One user observed, "Ooooooo not the yelling, invalidating robyns feelings, and then hanging up the phone… oh juan." A fourth user quipped, "Juan when he sees Robyn’s name pop up on his phone:"

One user further wrote, "Juan needs to lower his voice, because he’s the catalyst for ALL of Robyn’s turmoil. the common denominator is you, stupid." Another person added, "Disappointed that Juan talks to Robyn like that. Like she's the reason your family is still together and financially stable. Sad and disgusting."

Robyn became tearful on the way to the group's Chicken S**t outing while discussing her husband's recent job loss and how it has caused her to re-evaluate her friendships.

"Like that hurts, like that's his life. That's our life," Robyn stated at the event, explaining why she couldn't hear what the other girls were saying about Juan.

She said, "My husband is hurting, and our family is hurting."

"Juan being fired, it's like a part of him has been taken away from him," Robyn stated in an episode interview, "Seeing him go through this with no plan, that really hurts my heart for my husband."

"I don't appreciate the assumptions that are being made," she said. "This is just such a sensitive and emotional situation for us."

Robyn's complex relationship with her husband Juan has been the major focus of discussion on 'RHOP' Season 8.

In January 2023, an influencer said the former NBA star received a DM from a lady who claimed she dated Juan for a year during the Covid-19 pandemic. As evidence, the woman provided a hotel receipt with Juan's name.

Robyn addressed the issue on an episode of 'Reasonably Shady', her podcast with Gizelle Bryant, in January. Juan did connect with the woman over Instagram, Robyn said, but they "did not date."

Prepare to be surprised as to why his name appeared on the hotel receipt.

Juan informed Robyn that the woman allegedly contacted him and informed him that she was heading to Maryland from Canada to see her boyfriend, who played for the Baltimore Ravens.

When she arrived in the United States, she had misplaced her cash and was unable to pay for her hotel room, so she phoned Juan, who decided to be a good samaritan and pay the hotel cost.

Fans are skeptical of Juan's story, as are Robyn's 'RHOP' co-stars.

“I want her to win, but I want her to stop lying,” Karen told US Weekly. She added, “If she can’t stop lying, what I’d like Robyn to do is accept the fact that we don’t believe their lies.”

“Own it and stop being ridiculous about it,” she continued, “Things happen in everyone’s marriage. I’ve been married for 27 years. It’s not easy, but she needs to put it at ease, and especially if you’re going to be a member of this core group.”

“I’m rooting for her marriage. But Robyn is delusional,” Wendy said at BravoCon 2023, “We address her delusion throughout this season, and we hold her accountable. But you know, you can take a horse to the water, but you can’t make them drink.”

“I felt bamboozled,” Candiace said to Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live' in April 2023.

She said, “How can you all carry this fake story about Chris [Bassett] across the United States and back when you know there is a real scandal afoot in Potomac.”

Gizelle Bryant admitted on 'WWHL' that she finds Juan’s story “hard to believe.”
