'Real Housewives of Potomac' Preview: Karen Huger walks out of her own party after Monique Samuels shows up
After what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing vacation in Portugal ended on a disastrous note, with housewife Ashley Darby revealing that she wrote a statement in favor of Monique Samuel's lawsuit against Candiace Dillard Bassett. The housewives flew back to Potomac and were still trying to process the whole Monique-Candiace situation.
In the meanwhile, Karen Huger decided to throw a party for launching her new line of wigs. She invited the housewives while they were vacationing in Portugal. When they first got the invite from Karen, they immediately checked with her if Monique would be attending, and the grand dame revealed that she hadn't invited Monique because the ladies wouldn't be comfortable around her.
So, after returning to Potomac, the housewives all got dressed up and arrived at Karen's party eager to extend and show their support to her. Just as the ladies were beginning to enjoy themselves, we see Monique pulling up at the party. In the preview clip for the upcoming episode, we see the housewives looking shocked at seeing Monique turn up to Karen's party. The ladies confront Karen for inviting Monique to her party despite telling them in Portugal that she didn't invite her.
Karen gets annoyed and snaps at the housewives and says that she never said that. In the next scene, we see Karen and her husband, Ray Huger, walk out of their party. Wendy Osefo and the other housewives shout after Karen saying that she can't leave her own party while her guests are still there. Karen simply tells that the bill for the party has been paid and they can stay back and have fun.
The ladies don't take to Karen's move kindly. Candiace comments that she's at the receiving end of Karen's wrath while Wendy points out that the grand dame was never her friend in the first place. We later see Karen and Monique enjoying a drink together while laughing over something. We can't wait to see why Karen invited Monique and how Candiace feels about this sudden change in Karen's attitude towards her.
